Leake NateTheHate has suggested that two significant Xbox titles – Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Flight Simulator 2024 – are set to launch on the PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2. This move aligns with Microsoft’s strategy to broaden its range of first-party games to additional platforms.
According to reports, aside from the obvious releases, Flight Simulator 2024 is expected to arrive on the PlayStation 5 and Switch 2, along with Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
He further speculates that if a Gears of War Collection is indeed in development and slated for release this year, it may also debut on the PS5. While there’s been no official confirmation from Microsoft regarding these titles coming to Sony’s console, we hope to hear updates soon. For now, these claims remain speculative, so it’s wise to take them with a grain of salt.
While discussing Halo, it’s worth mentioning that there were reports last June about Halo: Combat Evolved potentially being available on the PS5, likely the remastered version included in The Master Chief Collection. However, NateTheHate’s assertions indicate that more than just the first Halo may be arriving.
Last year, Microsoft initiated its multiplatform approach with titles like Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves, among others, launching on the PS5. This spring, they will also release Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for Sony’s console. The initial wave of Xbox games has performed well on other platforms, suggesting that Project Latitude (the initiative to release games on competing systems) is proving successful so far.
