What inspired you to join the gaming industry?
In March 2008 Scarlett Angel was born into DDO. I needed somewhere or something to do besides raise 3 kids practically by myself. I needed a moment. I made a choice to have a hobby and instead of cross stitching I went online and followed my ex husband on DDO however we were in separate rooms practically seperate lives. I spent HOURS on DDO crafting the perfect digital fighter. Spend hundreds of dollars on baby sitters just to find tune her and play the game. My addiction was she was the badass side of me that I wanted to be. Scarlet means red which is my favorite color and Angel was her middle name but she was no angel and never stuck. I spent two years playing DDO and Scarlet. She was my creation and masterpiece. From the top of her head to her toes. Every detail has to be perfect. And she was. She was a sneak up behind you and slit your throat fighter. It’s actually all in the boots she wore. Fast forward to 2024, my now husband uses Scarlet on my behalf and actually gave her his last name Wookie which made me cry. I had to freeze her for 16 years. Long story. She is alive and well because of him. My alter ego.
Can you share a bit about your personal journey and experiences in the gaming world?
Now I mostly play Tetris or poppit. I get into games and get an addiction and can spend hours so I have to be careful. Thats how Scarlet was created, a pure addiction to another world.
How has your background influenced your approach to branding and marketing within the adult gaming community?
I want to help in any way possible get the word out about very unreal. I use tik Tok and YouTube and Facebook. I don’t really have a background I just watch what other people do and see if I can do it too.
What are some of the unique challenges and opportunities you’ve encountered as a leader in the adult gaming sector?
Not understanding a game. There are a few games on the PC now I can’t operate because they are confusing. I have a walking dead game on my phone I don’t play because it’s confusing. But my heart is in the right place. I want to play I just can’t keep up.
In your role, what strategies do you employ to ensure that the brand resonates with the diverse audience of adult gamers?
I tell people on tik Tok when I’m live in here promoting Very Unreal and I take out my index cards and get people hyped over it. I enjoy it.
How do you navigate the balance between catering to adult gamers while maintaining a responsible and ethical brand image?
Keeping them focused on the games we have and keeping them entertained. The tik Tok people act like little kids so you have to cater to that. Remind them what we stand for.
What role do you believe Very Unreal Inc. plays in shaping the future of the adult gaming industry?
I hope it takes off and becomes huge. I hope that it wins awards and becomes successful. Right now it’s baby steps and that’s perfectly fine, baby steps are better to start fresh rather than a re branding.
How do you ensure that Very Unreal Inc.’s brand and messaging align with the values and interests of the adult gaming community?
I either ignore the stupid comments or inkewl them focused with the topic at hand. We are here to discuss very unreal not find out my marital status.
What do you consider to be the essential qualities for successful branding and marketing within the adult gaming space?
The love of the games, the hours spend, the knowledge and understanding of the games and the friendships you get from the community.
How do you approach building and maintaining relationships with partners and sponsors in the adult gaming industry?
Right now just by tik Tok and making my own little videos and notes. But if I need to do something bigger and better I will. I would love to see it all grow and blow up the Internet.
What measures do you take to differentiate Very Unreal Inc.’s brand from competitors in the adult gaming market?
Making sure they have the right website and discord page. Making sure they realize where they are going and who they will encounter.
What are some of the key considerations when developing branding and marketing strategies for a multi-platform adult gaming community?
Age could be a factor. The location might be. Having the right tools and equipment definitely.
How do you ensure that Very Unreal Inc.’s brand messaging is culturally sensitive and inclusive of diverse perspectives within the adult gaming community?
I tell people to join discord and go to global chat and inside general all you have to say is hi. It doesn’t matter about what you look like or come from. We aren’t like that. Just come ready to play and have fun and make friends.
What do you find most rewarding about leading the branding and marketing efforts for Very Unreal Inc. in the adult gaming sector?
Watching my husbands eyes light up when he plays games and talks to people and has friends. I don’t care how many gamer tags he has. It’s rewarding when I know he’s having fun. It’s rewarding when I hear they have a new recruit. It’s exciting when I find out they came from tik Tok it means it’s working and they are listening and taking me serious!
Looking ahead, what are your vision and goals for the future of Very Unreal Inc.’s brand within the adult gaming industry?
Get more followers and subscribers on both tik Tok and youtube. Get their attention and cut them loose in discord. They will have a blast!
